How To Download Your eBook

Apple iOS (iPhone & iPad)

Ebooks can be read on Apple’s iPhone and iPad portable devices. To do so, you need to download the ePub or PDF version and use iBooks or another e-reader application on your device.

Using iBooks on the iPad or iPhone

iBooks is built into Apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad. iBooks can read ebooks in both ePub and PDF formats. It is best suited, however, for reading ePub-format books, which flow automatically from page to page on your device’s screen. You can easily increase or decrease the size of the book’s text, and iBooks instantly reformats the pages accordingly.

  1. In the Downloads tab, find the ePub - For iBooks/iTunes section, then tap the TAP HERE link to open the ebook in ePub format: Download TabSave The eBook
  2. Choose Open in iBooks: Open in iBooks
  3. To return to the ebook in subsequent reading sessions, open iBooks and go to the Library. You will be taken to all the books you have previously downloaded including the ebook you just downloaded.
Android (Samsung, LG, HTC, etc)

Ebooks can be read on devices (tablets and smartphones) running Google’s Android operating system. To do so, you need to download the ePub or PDF version and use Google Play Books or install either Aldiko, Adobe Acrobat Reader or another e-reader application on your device.

Downloading the Ebook onto Your Device
  1. In the Downloads tab, find the ePub - For iBooks/iTunes section, then press and hold the TAP HERE link to open the ebook in ePub format: Download TabTap To Save The eBook
  2. Tap Download link: Download link
  3. Pull notifications down and select the downloaded file.
  4. To return to the ebook in subsequent reading sessions, open Google Play Books and select the file under “Library”.
If you need an e-reader app on your device:

Aldiko is a popular e-reader app for Android devices. It’s available in a free ad-supported version or a paid ad-free version. To install Aldiko on your device, go to the Google Play store and search for “aldiko”. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the application.

Microsoft Windows

If you don’t already have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, we recommend that you download the latest version here.

  1. In the Downloads tab, find the PDF - Recommended for Windows section, then right-click on the link that says RIGHT-CLICK HERE. Download Tab
  2. Choose “Save Link As” (Chrome and Firefox), “Save Target As” (Internet Explorer) or “Download File As” (Safari): Saving the PDF
  3. Save the ebook file to a preferred location on your computer. You’ll want to select a location that is easy to find like your desktop or documents folder.
  4. After the ebook file downloads to the location you chose, double-click on the file to open it.
  5. To return to the ebook in subsequent reading sessions, double-click on the ebook file you downloaded or open the Acrobat Reader program and look for the ebook name under recently opened files.
Mac OS X
  1. In the Downloads tab, find the ePub - For iBooks/iTunes section, then right-click on the link that says RIGHT-CLICK HERE: Download TabSaving the PDF* If your mouse does not have two buttons, you can right-click by either clicking and holding the mouse button or pressing the Control key while clicking the mouse button.
  2. Save the ebook file to your preferred location on your computer.
  3. Open iBooks after your file is downloaded and select File > Add to Library. Browse to the location where you saved your ebook and then click Add. You can also drag the ePub file directly into your iBooks Library: Adding To Your iBooks Library
  4. To sync the ebook to your mobile device, select iBooks > Preferences > General. Then check the “Sync Bookmarks, highlights and collections across devices” box. This setting is typically on by default. Syncing To Your Device
  5. On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Settings app, then iBooks. Select Sync Collections and Sync Bookmarks and Notes.
Amazon Kindle

Ebooks can be read on Amazon’s line of Kindle readers, including both the Kindle, Kindle Fire and Kindle Paperwhite. In order to read the ebook on your Kindle, please download it in ePub format. With this format, you can c hange font options (including size), make notes, and highlight text. The PDF format can be read in most Kindles; however, there will be fewer options to re-size the text if you choose the PDF version.

There are two ways to get the ebook onto your Kindle:
  1. You can easily transfer a ePub or PDF to your Kindle via USB by following these simple steps:
    • Connect a USB cable to your Kindle and your computer.
    • A drive labeled “KINDLE” should appear on your computer (on Windows it’ll be in “My Computer”, and on Mac OS X it appears on the Desktop). Click to open the drive.
    • Copy the ePub or PDF file into the “Documents” folder on the Kindle Drive. Tap To Save The eBook
    • Your ebook is now in the Books library on your Kindle Fire (PDFs are stored in the “Docs” library) or the home screen on your Kindle or Kindle Paperwhite.
  2. Using Amazon’s Kindle Personal Documents Service, you can email either ePub or PDF files to your Kindle (some fees may apply).
Nook & Other E-Reader

Ebooks can be read in a number of e-readers, such as Barnes & Noble NOOK, Sony Reader, KOBO, and others. Many of these support the popular ePub and PDF formats. Simply plug your e-reader directly to your computer and transfer the files to your e-reader’s drive.
